The Dimitrie Cantemir sports club includes a modern sports hall and locker rooms, properly equipped for organizing various sportive events and activities for the UCDC students.

This is the location where the activities for the Physical Training and Sports subject are organized, a subject mandatory for all faculties within the university, alongside with other competition-based events (such as various contests or championships of: basketball, table tennis, check, boxing a.s.o.) which result in selections for the representative teams of U.C.D.C. which participate in various university-level competitions nationwide of at international level.

The representatives of the basketball teams (women and men) have achieved remarkable results:
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 3 X 3 – Bucharest and nation-wide (women – 2012)
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 5 x 5 – Bucharest (women – 2012)
Ranked no. 2: BASKETBALL 5 X 5 – Nation-wide (women – 2012)
Ranked no. 5: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 3 X 3 Serbia (women – 2012)
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 3 X 3 – Bucharest (women – 2013)
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 3 X 3 – Bucharest (men – 2013)
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 5 X 5 - Bucharest (women – 2013)
Ranked no. 1: BASKETBALL 5 X 5 – Bucharest (men – 2013)
Qualification in the nation-wide finals was achieved with both teams.
